Dr. Asish Das

Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Wexford General Hospital, Ireland, grew up in Kolkata (Calcutta), India and received his bachelor degree from University of Kolkata in 1991. He also obtained Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (D.G.O) in 1994 and master degree (M.D.) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1997 from same university. He joined to Indian Medical Council of Research as a Research Fellow in 1997 to 1999.He moved to Ireland in 1999 and worked in different hospital before finished his training in Rotunda Hospital, Dublin in 2010. He also obtained diploma in woman’s health from Royal College of Physician, Dublin in 2001, MRCOG from Royal College of Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, London in 2003 and a trained colposcopic from BSCCP, UK since 2006. He was awarded FRCPI (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) from Royal College of Physician, Ireland recently. He has special interest in Minimal Invasive surgery in Gynaecology, Ambulatory Gynaecology, High Risk and Diabetes in pregnancy. He was a national scholar during his undergraduate and post graduate period. He is also a member of various obstetrics and gynaecological organization both nationally and internationally including member of both royal college of Ireland and UK and actively involved in teaching and training.
